Just in time for the Christmas season, Scottish distillery Eden Mill has created a candy cane-flavoured ready-to-drink Mojito gin cocktail with an ABV of 5.8%

As part of their Mixology Project range, the Candy Cane Mojito is said to have a bilberry sweetness combined with “a tingly” peppermint freshness from the producer’s Candy Cane Gin.

Designed to resemble a traditional candy cane, the seasonal cocktail is packaged in an aluminium can adorned with red stripes.

The Candy Cane Mojito comes in a pack of 12 and is available through the edenmill.com, Scottish Sainsbury’s stores and independent retailers.

Bacardi Aventura Offers A Taste Of The Tropics

Bacardi has partnered with the UK bar chain Revolución de Cuba to launch a limited-edition rum.

Bacardi Aventura is a blend of tropically aged dark rums matured for a minimum of three years in American oak barrels and infused with ‘notes of tropical fruit, cedar and vanilla’.

The expression will go on sale from 26 November at each of the 17 Revolución de Cuba’s bars across the UK, both within a series of festive cocktails and as a take-out bottle.

Cocktails include Cherry Xmas – a mix of amaretto, cranberries and cherry syrup – and the Gingerbread Old Fashioned – stirred with gingerbread syrup and Angostura bitters.

Australian Distilling Co Release City-Based Gin

Following on from the release of their Adelaide Gin earlier this year, Australian Distilling Co is introducing three new premium craft gins for Sydney, Brisbane and Perth, to coincide with the inaugural Australian Gin Day on the 23rd November.

Working with Master Distiller Dr Graham Jones, Michael Hickinbotham has created the gins to reflect the spirit of each city.

Perth Gin uses boronia paired with lemon myrtle. Brisbane utilises the fresh citrus flavours of kaffir lime and finger lime, with hints of fresh ginger. While Sydney has been designed to reflect the distinct aromatics of lemon rind, lime zest and orange peel.

Poor Toms & StrangeLove release Love Can RTDs

Sydney distillery Poor Toms has teamed up with Melbourne soft drink maker StrangeLove to create a range of premixed drink served in cans called Love Can.

The RTDs will be available in three variants – a perfectly paired Gin & Tonic, an all-natural Vodka Yuzu Soda, and a reimagined Negroni-style Spritz.

The two businesses have joined forces to take advantage of the general trend towards on-the-go convenience, while also embracing the move away from sugar and towards low ABV.

All Love Can products are 5%ABV and are available in 4-packs through selected BWS and Dan Murphy’s nationally.

Edinburgh Gin Release Christmas Gin Liqueurs

Scottish gin distillery, Edinburgh Gin, have released three new gin liqueurs just in time for the holiday season. The distillery hopes that these new expressions will help take your seasonal drinks up a notch and make them even more festive.

The first is a Mulled Gin Liqueur which has the flavours of Cole, Cinnamon, Ginger and Orange infused.

The second is a Blackcurrant and Anise flavour which is perfect for this with a love for liquorice.

The third is a somewhat sweeter mix with Strawberries and Pink Peppercorns.
